IV on the go
Sometimes we need to do my son's IV hook up when we are out and about- we mostly try to avoid it but this weekend the M25 had other plans. After three hours in the car we realised we needed to stop and get on with it. Here is a picture of me priming the 1800ml bag of intraveneous 'feed'- to be delivered over continuous 15 hours. Parents and carers with medical complexities will understand what it's like with equipment in the 'wrong' place and the stress of having to do these things on the go! But at least it means we can get out and about and are not completely tied to home.
